Urban Design and masterplanning is a fundamental part of the development process. It is about making places that respond to planning, architectural, environmental and engineering objectives in an integrated way. Our experience embraces large scale urban extensions, strategies for area regeneration and detailed design.
Our work is often in support of planning applications and we have a very good understanding of the development control process and planning policy requirements in relation to design. Pegasus Urban Design is well regarded and we are increasingly involved in expert design review and witness work.
Our working methodology balances creative thinking with practical deliverable solutions and we base our work on assessments of the particular constraints and opportunities a site presents. Whilst all sites have tangible visible physical constraints and opportunities, other issues may be less tangible such as local community aspirations, in this context thoughtfully enabling effective consultation and negotiation is key part of our work.
